Unitree Robotics has apparently decided its H2 humanoid needs a new career as a “Kung Fu Legend Guardian,” and the job interview involves getting hit by a car. In its latest, highly dramatized demo, the robot shoves a child-sized prop to safety before taking the full impact, among other extreme durability tests like jumping from a four-meter platform. The future of personal safety, it seems, requires your robot bodyguard to also function as a Hollywood stunt double.
