Toyota’s CUE7 basketball robot, the latest in a line of unsettlingly accurate shooters, has now mastered dribbling on its wheeled bipedal frame. Having already secured a Guinness World Record for consecutive free throws in a previous generation, the AI-powered athlete is clearly no longer satisfied with just being a static shooter. The addition of dribbling suggests Toyota’s ambitions are moving toward more dynamic, game-time capabilities, presumably before the robot demands a trade to a championship contender.
