This automated phlebotomist, the MagicNurse Intelligent Venipuncture & Blood Collection Robot, is now in use at Zhongshan Hospital Fudan University. It reportedly boasts a 94.3% first-puncture success rate, which is fantastic news for 19 out of every 20 patients. For the remaining 5.7%, well, there’s always the comfort of knowing a human will eventually step in.
