PNDRobotics' Adam Robot Nails the Charleston Dance

While other humanoids are learning to carry boxes, PNDRobotics’ Adam is mastering the Charleston in what the company calls a world’s first for a full-size robot. Its eerily fluid moves are powered by 41 degrees of freedom and high-torque actuators delivering hundreds of Newton-meters of force, showcasing a level of dynamic balance that was, until recently, the stuff of CGI. The robot uprising, it seems, will have impeccable rhythm.
