1X’s NEO humanoid robot has a new side hustle: artisanal baking. It teamed up with star pastry chef Amaury Guichon to construct a hyper-realistic cake replica of… itself in a box, complete with edible marshmallow packing peanuts. Apparently, one of 1X’s “earliest customers” wants a robot that can both work and create desserts that trigger an existential crisis.
