The earliest method of managing information was simply storing it in our heads, which allowed for limited and personal transfer (1:1). In this scenario, retrieving information was uncertain and low-bandwidth, relying heavily on memory.Storage on Physical Media:
The next level involved storing information on physical media like stone tablets or in books. This made it accessible and referenceable by a wider audience (1:n). While searching for information was slow, physical media provided greater stability and reliability for information storage.Digital Storage:
With the advancement of digital technology, storing and sharing information on disks and the internet became possible. This significantly enhanced bandwidth and search capabilities, allowing anyone to access and publish information (n:n). Storing and querying information through this method proved to be accurate and rapid.Neural Networks and the Future:
Neural networks essentially perform a form of data compression, which we can interpret as averages based on specific parameters through appropriate queries. Storing data within neural networks enables vast bandwidth and the generation of intelligent responses formed from holographic, live data (nn:n). During on-demand learning and research, we can query information at any depth. Whether we need an in-depth exploration of a topic or a brief summary, neural networks allow us to delve deeply into the knowledge (text).
The evolution of information management continues to progress thanks to advancements in technology. The possibilities offered by neural networks may redefine how we solve problems, think, and share or retrieve information in the future.
