About the Event
China is set to host the first-ever World Humanoid Robot Games (WHRG) in Beijing from August 15-17, 2025. This groundbreaking event will feature a multi-sport competition for humanoid robots, demonstrating their capabilities in complex tasks and movements at the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town).
The games will bring together over 100 international teams, showcasing the pinnacle of humanoid robotics and embodied AI. The event aims to foster innovation, push the boundaries of technology, and demonstrate the potential of humanoid robots in various fields.
Competitions
The WHRG will feature a diverse range of competitions divided into three main categories:
- Athletics: Robots will compete in events like track and field (100m, 400m, relay), hurdles, long jump, high jump, and free gymnastics.
- Ball Games: Team-based competitions including 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5 football matches, as well as basketball and badminton.
- Scenario-Based Challenges: Robots will be tested on their ability to perform real-world tasks in simulated environments such as factories, hospitals, and homes. This includes tasks like martial arts, dancing, and service-oriented challenges.
The WHRG will be held shortly after the 2025 World Robot Conference (WRC), which takes place in Beijing from August 8-12.
